Weddings

This past weekend my beautiful Soul Twin(TM) Lindsey married her soulmate Chris, and it was very literally the best day ever.

The Couple

From the bride: “We originally met in Swing Dancing club in college, but didn’t meet for real until over ten years later working together. For months, we played Euchre in the cafeteria during lunch with our friends and found out we had a lot in common — board games, growing up in PA, a love for ska music and going to concerts. We had a couple of false starts with the romance bit, but in between, we remained close friends. After lots of learning and personal growth, we got back together for good — third time’s the charm.

“We got engaged on a beautiful day in a local park last summer a few months after going ring shopping together. Lindsey still didn’t suspect, and it was a lovely surprise! Chris roped in her sister to set up a bottle of Dom Perignon and beautiful flowers back at her apartment to celebrate after stopping for ice cream on the way home. :D”

The Wedding

Lindsey and I have been a part of each other’s lives for 12 years now. Being by her side all day on Saturday was honestly the best gift I could have received. I got to watch one of my favorite people in the world take in every beautiful moment on her wedding day. From her getting choked up walking up to see Chris for the first time, to the surprise/cry/panic/ultimate joy faces she made while walking down the aisle locking eyes with all of her people, to taking in the real genuine moments with everyone… it’s hard to pick a favorite moment. Not only did I get to witness them all but I also got to capture them.

Chris and Lindsey are perfect together and were brimming with love and joy all day. Seeing my friend be SO loved, not just by Chris, but by everyone in her life filled me with so much gratification. They have created a truly beautiful community of people surrounding them, and I loved getting to know their friends and family over the course of the weekend.

Also, shout out to my bestie Jim for traveling with me to be a part of their wedding, allowing me to put down the camera once the party started and be truly present.
