Mat and Vanessa’s wedding this past Saturday was such a joy to capture — I’m so excited to share some of the highlights on the blog today!
The Couple
From the couple: “We kept missing each other for a long time; we went to the same high school and even had a weight training class together, but being 3 years apart meant we didn’t usually run in the same circles. Vanessa ended up going to the same 4 year university Mathew went to, but he graduated before she got there. It wasn’t until Vanessa was in her junior/senior year of college that they reconnected by matching on Tinder, but they clicked instantly. Within a couple weeks, they were officially a couple, and Mat proposed shortly before their first dating anniversary. They ended up pushing back the wedding for longer than they expected, with COVID and Vanessa having to start PT school later than anticipated, but the day is finally here :)”
The Wedding
Mat and Vanessa were married on Saturday at the beautiful Vandiver Inn, and their day was filled with so much love and emotion. From the moment they saw each other during their first look, the tears started flowing — their connection is so genuine and heartfelt, and their vows during the ceremony were a perfect reflection of that. One of the most special (and cutest!) guests in attendance was their beloved bunny, Henry! Although he did not come to the party itself, you’ll see he was certainly still well represented ;)
Throughout the day, it was clear just how deeply Mat and Vanessa are loved by their people. The support, joy, and emotion from their family and friends made the entire celebration feel even more meaningful. It was one of those weddings where you leave feeling lucky just to have witnessed it. I’m so excited to share some favorite moments from their day on the blog!
