Weddings

Amanda and Chris‘ wedding this past weekend was such a joy to capture. Not just because it was a wonderful day, but because I love these people so much. I’m thrilled to be sharing the highlights on the blog today!

Side note: If you’ve been here for a bit you might recognize Amanda and Chris from their Ghost Busters engagement session last fall.

The Couple

From the couple: “We met via the trusty elder millennial method – Match.com. I was at the end of my 6 month membership and Chris came across my feed. I sent him a message and he ended up paying for a 6 month membership to respond to my message.  We had our first date at the Greene Turtle in Towson (RIP) where I proceeded to complain about too much Okra in my CSA. We were having such a good time that we went to another bar after dinner for a while. Chris thought I was not interested in him because I was chatting with the bartender. He later learned that was not the case and the importance of always making nice with your bartenders. Within a month, we ended our Match.com subscriptions, decided to be exclusive, and the rest is history. 11 years and 3 days after our first date, we went out to a belated anniversary dinner (due to my always busy schedule!). Chris proposed when we got home with a photo book that had the highlights of our last decade together. It was just us. And just perfect.”

The Wedding

This wedding day was so, so special to be a part of. I’ve now known Chris for more than half my life (ew, we’re old now), and I’ve been greatly looking forward to this day for the better part of a decade. There’s something really special about getting to capture the wedding of people you love, and I’m happy to add Amanda and Chris to that ever growing list.

We were so lucky with a beautiful day, spring flowers *almost* in peak bloom (ideal because it made for pretty photos sans pollen explosion), and lots and lots of laughter. Amanda and Chris have truly found someone who will be by their side through it all. They’ve already been through incredibly challenging times, and to still be so in love and have so much fun together after some of the most trying experiences a couple could face is both inspiring and beautiful. This is what true love looks like. I can’t wait to see what the future brings for you both. Love you lots.
