This session is very special to me. Chris is a former coworker and good friend of mine (of nearly 20 years!), and he and Amanda have been together more than half that time. Needless to say I was beyond thrilled when they got engaged and we started chatting about their wedding plans. When it came time to plan engagement photos, Amanda chose Ellicott City both because it’s adorable, and it’s a place they enjoy to spend time together. However, that was not all she had up her sleeve.
For years, Chris has been cosplaying with the Charm City Ghostbusters. Amanda wanted to surprise him with her own flight suit (something she told him she’d never do), and take some ‘themed’ photos. Now I have seen plenty of photos from their cosplay events (one of my best friends also happens to be a part of this group!) and I was aware that there was an Ecto that belonged to someone in their friend group and I asked Amanda if she could get the car. There was some plotting and scheming involved behind the scenes, and Amanda’s surprise was pulled off perfectly. The photos are epic, and if that doesn’t show how perfect these two are for each other, I don’t know what does.
I’m so thrilled for my friends to be starting this new chapter, and even more so to get to be a part of it as their photographer. Here are just some of my favorites from our shoot last week!
