Amanda + Bobby | Inn at Mitchell House Wedding

Weddings

Today I am blogging yet another wedding I worked on with Rachel Smith Photography this year. This one was on a cool October day with threats of torrential downpour all day. As it turned out, we got incredibly lucky and the skies stayed clear until just after the ceremony, where they opened up and poured down on us. But no worries- Amanda and Bobby were married, and had already gotten all of their photos done before the ceremony! Even with the pouring down rain these two had a perfect day that highlighted their special love.

Rachel and I trekked to The Inn at Mitchell House for their wedding and it was absolutely worth the drive. The house is amazing, as are the grounds!

The rooms were amazing!2013-12-08_0037 2013-12-08_0038Once Bobby and the guys were all dressed, we headed out to get some photos before their first look. 2013-12-08_0039And of course they insisted putting Bobby on the swing. These are hilarious!2013-12-08_0040 2013-12-08_0041 2013-12-08_0042While patiently waiting for his beautiful bride to meet him for the first look, Bobby and I chatted a bit about their relationship. I could see his love for her while he talked about her, and the smile upon his face when he could hear her nearing.2013-12-08_0043 2013-12-08_00442013-12-08_0045 2013-12-08_0046 2013-12-08_0048 2013-12-08_0051 2013-12-08_0052 2013-12-08_0053

The florals by Ellen from Local Color Flower were absolutely stunning as always! I love that you never really know what you’ll end up with until the wedding day. Couples simply give Ellen a color palette to work with and the rest is a surprise based on what’s local and in season! These beautiful bouquets tied in the colors of the mis-matched bridesmaid gowns perfectly!2013-12-08_0047 2013-12-08_0049 2013-12-08_0050 2013-12-08_0054 2013-12-08_0055 2013-12-08_00562013-12-08_0057 2013-12-08_0058 2013-12-08_0059 2013-12-08_0060 2013-12-08_0061 2013-12-08_0062 2013-12-08_0063 2013-12-08_0064As guests were arriving I headed inside with Amanda and the girls while they prepared for the ceremony to start.2013-12-08_0065 2013-12-08_0066 2013-12-08_0067I love that Amanda kept peeking out the window.2013-12-08_00682013-12-08_0069 2013-12-08_0070 2013-12-08_0071 2013-12-08_0072 2013-12-08_0073 2013-12-08_0074 2013-12-08_0075The reception set up was absolutely stunning!
