October 2, 2012 Dana & Shane – Jerusalem Mill Engagement Session
Dana and Shane entered in the contest on my facebook page a couple of months ago and won a free one-hour photo session to use however they chose! They had gotten engaged just one week before the contest was posted. Their friends and family came together and got them the win with over 700 votes! Today I am happy to share with you my favorites from the afternoon that I spent with them! Dana and Shane are super sweet and their love for each other is very apparent. Dana is a nursing student, and Shane is a firefighter. He works both as a career and volunteer fireman, as well as takes classes to become even better at his career. What would be a strain on any other relationship is no problem for these two love birds.
They chose to have their engagement session at Jerusalem Mill in Kingsville. It was the perfect location for these two! It has been two years since my last engagement session there and I had forgotten just how great of a location it is for couples! This was also my first session with my new Canon 5D Mark III so I am extra thrilled about this! Without further ado, here is just a taste of their wonderful session!

I love her ring. One of the fun parts of being a wedding and engagement photographer is that I get to see so many different styles of engagement rings! I think they’re all gorgeous.

We shot this a few different ways, but I am so excited for their Save the Dates! They had custom shields made and attached them to Shane’s helmets. These will be so fun to send to their guests!
