Sarah and Justin – Irvine Nature Center Engagement Session

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas with their family and friends yesterday. Christmas is always a reminder to me of just how lucky I am not only to have an amazing family but to also have married into and equally awesome group of individuals. This morning it’s back to business after a lovely four day weekend and I’m happy to share this weekend’s engagement session!

I was very excited for this engagement session. Sarah and Justin are getting married in May and are having a “redneck wedding”. They love camo, hunting, and anything redneck. Sarah even had Sameeha from The Inked Leaf design them a wedding monogram to match their redneck themed wedding. I can’t wait to see all of the awesomeness come together at the wedding.

The original date we had planned for our engagement session got rained out, then I got very sick on our back up date, and then this Saturday when we met at the originally planned location it was closed for the holidays. We felt like we couldn’t win! Luckily we had enough time before sunset to travel to the Irvine Nature Center in Owings Mills and get a good hour of shooting in. It was FREEZING outside (roughly 35°) with 30-40mph winds on Saturday but these two were troopers and I swear you can’t even tell when looking at the photos. It took me almost an hour to thaw out by the time I got home but I’d say it was well worth it :)

Sarah’s engagement ring features a tahitian pearl as the center stone. Don’t worry, there are more photos of it to come at the end of the post :)

Thank you both so much for being troopers this Saturday and not only toughing it through the frigid weather and high winds, but also being willing to drive to another location after we found out the first was closed. I can’t wait for your wedding in May!
