New Products | Japanese Silk Flush Mount Albums

April 25, 2013 New Products | Japanese Silk Flush Mount Albums

I am so excited to reveal photos of my brand new sample album! Toward the end of last year I noticed that my own personal wedding album was starting to have a noticeable pink bleed in the crease of the layflat pages. I spoke with my friend Evonne from U Me Us Studios in San Francisco and she told me that she went with an album company that uses Fuji Crystal Archive Paper which is much less prone to this issue. I wanted my albums to have a beautiful professional presence for my clients, their future children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and on. I began researching companies and I ended up coming back to the very album maker that Evonne uses. The albums are handmade from start to finish, so the turnaround time from order to delivery is a good bit longer than previous album companies I’ve used (I have used some that have the album turned around in a matter of 2-3 days!) but the craftsmanship is unparalleled and it is SO well worth the wait.

So far I have ordered one sample album, that shows off the gorgeous Japanese silk cover option. They also have fine leathers that can be chosen as well! I will be ordering a sample leather album soon too and I will definitely show it off once I get it! The sample album I’m showing you today is of Jackie + Andrew’s destination wedding from early March this year.

When you order a wedding album through me you’ll have the option of a fabric or leather cover. The fabric options are the japanese silk as picture below or a natural linen and there are many various colors of each! The leathers also have loads of different options, but I’ll share those later! This album cover color is “Aqua” and I think it’s the perfect color for a destination wedding! Jackie and Andrew opted for a sandy colored fabric for their album. Both are great choices!

Other add-ons (they’re amazingly affordable too!) include a cameo of your favorite photo, which can be in various shapes and sizes, and debossing. For the debossing you can do up to two lines, and you can choose from several options of font and size as well as choose the placement that you like best.

The debossing is classy and subtle. I love it!

The thick pages and sturdy binding make this one monster of a book. It’s very heavy and it just FEELS good in your hands. Each album is handmade as I said previously, and you can tell that every single one is made thoughtfully and with love for the craft.

The pages lay perfectly flat and the creased fold allows for panoramic spreads where the photo spans across the fold.

I am totally in love with my new album offerings and I love that the album itself is as much a work of art as the photos within it and the work that went into making your wedding day a day to remember forever. This is the perfect keepsake and I’m proud to offer them to my clients as their first family heirloom.
