April 2, 2014 Megan + Danny | Jerusalem Mill Engagement Session
As someone who absolutely LOVES winter and snow, I have to say, I’m really happy it’s now spring. Warmer weather, being able to leave the house without a jacket, flower buds and open windows… Spring also means engagement session season and the beginning of wedding season! This weekend I have my first wedding since January (with the exception of some second shooting here and there) and this week I’ve had TWO incredible engagement sessions! This week’s engagement sessions started on Monday with Megan and Danny at Jerusalem Mill. Originally we were planning on meeting in the morning, but it SNOWED the night before — seriously? What’s with this extended winter? So we decided to hold off until the afternoon to give the snow time to melt and the temperatures time to warm up. SO glad we did, the light was perfect and we had a beautiful afternoon to work with!
Megan is the sister of one of my good friends and former coworkers from when I worked at Apple. Katie, Megan’s sister, messaged me as soon as she learned that Danny was going to propose to book an engagement session for her little sister. She was so proud and so excited and I couldn’t wait to meet them and capture their engagement! Lucky for me, they’ve also chosen me to capture their wedding day so I get to spend more time with these lovebirds in front of my camera.
Megan and Danny are so fun and have a beautiful love. They’re so happy and so adorable together. I loved seeing them flirt and giggle and just be genuinely sweet and “them” in front of my camera. This session was the perfect way to kick off the first week of the spring wedding season!
