I adore Bryan and Lauren. I had photographed two weddings last year at Linganore and thankfully these two found me because of it! I say thankfully because not only are they a beautiful couple and their wedding is easily one of my favorites of all time (you’ll see why shortly) but because they are just really awesome people and I’m lucky to say that in the last year we’ve gone from being complete strangers to becoming legit friends! And lucky for me, I get to see them again in November – if not sooner – for Jameson and Matt‘s wedding!
Now if you can’t tell, I have really been looking forward to this wedding. Linganore is SUCH a stunning venue, Lauren and Bryan are just so sweet and so fun, and it was my first wedding back from vacation, as well as marking my halfway point for this year’s weddings. SO many things to look forward to! While I was in OBX last week, I kept stalking the weather for Mount Airy, MD and I saw it go from 0% chance of rain to 80% chance. By the time Saturday actually rolled around it was still pretty uncertain. That morning I saw a 0% chance but by the time I actually left for the wedding it was a 40% chance all day. We never actually got rained on other than a few stray drops here or there, and it made for the most beautiful and epic clouds in all of the photos!
Lauren and Bryan put together such a beautiful day with so many meaningful touches, gorgeous details, and SO MUCH FUN. Best day ever? Yes! When I arrived at the bridal suite, Lauren greeted me with enthusiasm and a big hug! When she pulled out all of the details for me to photograph I was in photographer heaven. I had yet to see anything else and I already knew it was going to be a good day.
I just love it when I have pretty places to hang up a bride’s dress!
This barn has always been one of my favorites for dress shots, but now that there are hops growing up the sides? YES PLEASE!
Lauren’s dress is not only beautiful but it has pockets!
The girls took a video of the woman at the bridal shop tying the bow on the back of Lauren’s wedding dress. Brilliant! The bow turned out perfect too. Totally worth it.
Before heading out for their first look I was able to snap a few portraits of the beautiful bride. Just stunning!
I hopped over to where Bryan was getting ready for a few photos as well before the first look!
Originally Bryan was a little hesitant about the idea of a first look, but he told me afterwards that he was so glad they decided to do one! They were both so sweet and really took the time to make the most of this moment together, letting it all sink in, just soaking each other up, and sharing the excitement of the day together!
I mean, look at their faces!! How perfect is this?
This is Lauren’s “We’re getting married today!” dance :)
Such a beautiful group of girls! You may also recognize Lauren’s Maid of Honor standing to her right, Jameson! These two are best friends and I’m so excited that I’m able to capture both of their weddings this year, just a few months apart!
Love these shots of the handsome groom & groomsmen!
Most enthusiastic group ever? Quite possibly!
Before sending them to hide before the ceremony, I took Lauren and Bryan out front to the vineyard for some portraits! Normally it’s too bright to shoot here until later in the day but the clouds totally worked in our favor. Love ALL of these!
Then it was time to get married!!
Sigh. So gorgeous.
Lauren and Bryan chose to do a wine mixing ceremony, similar in concept to the sand ceremony – once these two glasses of wine are combined they can never be separated and the same exact mix can never be replicated again. I loved it! They also saved a bottle of wine and handwritten notes to each other in a box for them to open on their 30th anniversary. So appropriate for their gorgeous vineyard wedding!
Woohoo! Married!!
I am so grateful these two made so much time for portraits! We got so many beautiful photos!
If the details at the beginning of this post weren’t enough of a hint, the details of this wedding were stunning. I love love love the placecards which double as wine glass tags! Once everyone had taken their tags, a corkboard remained with childhood photos of Lauren and Bryan!
Even though they grew up in the same neighborhood, went to the same high school and were even on the same track team, it took match.com to bring these two together and for them to meet for the first time! Their ‘perfect match’ favors couldn’t have been more perfect!
This cupcake display smelled as good as it looks! I had never seen such a beautiful display in person! Obsessed!
The reception was an absolute crazy blast! So much fun, so much energy, and I’ve been told that I’ll get to experience it all over again in November with many of the same people in attendance at Jameson’s wedding! Words can’t possibly do the energy level justice but the photos certainly do! After a very sweet first dance, a delicious dinner, and the parent dances, it was open dance floor time… and well… like I said, words just aren’t enough!
Not only did we have beautiful clouds all day but we had the most incredible sunset! Such a perfect ending to the perfect day!
Lauren and Bryan,
I hope you are having the time of your lives in Mexico! I can’t wait to see you when you get back and hear all about it! I’m so happy you’re both a part of my life and I couldn’t be more happy for you!!
xoxo,
Brea
