Steph and I were facebook friends long before we ever met in person. She is the younger sister of my friend Chris. She had moved to the area and he was going to be out of town, he gave her my contact info as an in case of emergency situation (which of course was never needed) and so we became facebook friends as well in case she needed to reach me that way. I still feel honored that Chris thought of me as the most responsible person at that time. Fast forward a couple of years and Steph enrolls in my class at Towson University. She walks up to my desk at the beginning of class and introduces herself and I knew exactly who she was immediately! She was an awesome student, and she definitely played to her advantage of knowing me ;) I say this because well, all of you know how obsessed I am with our awesome cat Sherlock. Their first project was a Photoshop project to practice with the skills they had learned to that point. One of the three compositions that was to be created was a character.

This was her project:

As soon as I saw a little green eyed grey kitty pop up on the screen, I lost it and couldn’t stop laughing. Of course none of the other students understood until I explained. It was hard to keep my composure for the rest of the class. I would keep picturing Sherlock in cowboy boots and have to stifle my laugh.

Steph was winning.

When Steph asked me to take her graduation photos I was so excited! We met bright and early at Towson’s campus and explored while taking these beautiful photos! Steph, you look amazing! Congratulations on your graduation!

And for Steph’s mom, we got a few cap and gown photos. I have to say, I really love the campus backdrop vs. a studio set up! Much more colorful and so appropriate!
