This past Friday I had the joy of photographing Andrea and John’s wedding day. The especially unique thing about this wedding is that Andrea and John were already married. Prior to his deployment last year, they were married in a small civil ceremony. His deployment was then cancelled so they got to planning their big wedding right away. Every little detail was perfect and their love totally amazing to witness. Many times throughout the night, John said “anything worth doing is worth doing twice” in reference to marrying his beautiful wife.
I’m so excited to share some of my favorites from their wedding day!
Andrea’s wedding dress was absolutely stunning! I love love love the detail and color, especially against her skin tone.
Andrea’s dad made hangers for her and all of the girls – how awesome are these?
Andrea is so gorgeous, I knew she’d be a stunning bride!
While I was with Andrea and the girls, Jen was with John and the guys. John is in the Air Force and you may remember that Andrea and John met at University of Maryland, so the Air Force cufflinks and Maryland socks were incredibly appropriate.
Such a handsome groom!
We went to the Mansion at Valley Country Club before the ceremony for their first look and some portraits.
Love their first look!
Jen and I split up and she photographed the guys while I was with the girls. Such a great group of people!
We hopped inside for a few too!
Obsessed with this one!
So grateful for this amazing light! Love these two!
Andrea, you look so amazing! The way the light hits the veil, she looks angelic.
Then it was off to St. Pius X in Towson to get married!
YES!
I love that they combined the traditional military sword arch with a bubble exit. These photos rock!
We were able to spend some time in and around the church for some more portraits of these two and I love how they all turned out!!
Love love love love!
When we headed outside to get a few photos of the outside of the church and I noticed the amazing sunset I knew we had to find a good vantage point for some sunset photos – a sky this beautiful can’t go unphotographed!
Back at the Mansion, Jen photographed all of the beautiful details. What an incredible venue – the room looked amazing and I love how Andrea and John chose to accent that beauty with their decor!
Andrea and John entered the reception and went right into a sweet choreographed first dance.
There were fantastic and fun speeches by the Maid of Honor and Best Man.
A lovely father-daughter dance…
and a mother-son turned grandmother-son dance!
And then it was party time!! What a fun group!
I’m so glad Andrea and John were up for night shots because these are some of my new faves!
Andrea and John,
Congratulations a second time on your marriage!! It was such a blast getting to know you two and I hope you have an amazing time in Greece!!
xoxo,
Brea
