This Saturday, I kicked off 2015 with my first wedding of the year, and I couldn’t have imagined a better way to do so. Of course, as most wedding days go, it wasn’t without its hitches. There was so much love and joy surrounding David and Dorinda that the little problems didn’t phase them. At the end of the night, there was no mistaking, it was the perfect day.
I’m so glad I had the opportunity to work with not just David and Dorinda, but their whole family before the wedding. Having already met Michael, Catherine, Garrett, Carolyn and Nate made the day so much more fun and comfortable. They’re such an awesome family and I’ve loved getting to know all of them! Congratulations to the new “Jalcolm” family!
I started the day by meeting Dorinda, her daughter Carolyn and new step-daughter Catherine at the Royal Sonesta in Baltimore where they were getting ready. We were hoping to use the amazing grand staircase there for some photos, but it was completely disassembled and under construction. Thankfully it’s such a beautiful hotel and they had an amazing suite that it was still so beautiful!
Dorinda had the most amazing fur stole, that belonged to her grandmother.
I love how close these two girls are. New sisters!
I just adore their first look! Even though David might have cheated. ;)
Such a beautiful couple!
When we got to the Rusty Scupper we were able to get a few photos outside before heading in for the ceremony!
LOVE!
Favorite!
The room was so beautiful!
I love the way they chose to do the sand ceremony, with everyone from their new blended family taking turns to create sand art in a beautiful frame, featuring a photo from our session last month!
Such an amazing view and sunset!
Wedding time!
Love how it turned out!
We rushed outside quickly after the ceremony to take a few photos before the sun went down completely. Such a beautiful sunset!
Up on the balcony we took some family photos with the beautiful skyline! I just adore this family, I want to be an honorary “Jalcolm!”
It was a little freezing. Sorry, Nate!
Such beautiful girls!
After dinner, Dorinda and David gave a quick toast, thanking everyone for being so supportive through their lives, and then it was time to party!
And party they did! What a fun group!
Before Jeana and I headed out for the night, we quickly ran out for some final photos of the night!
Dorinda and David, I’m so glad you guys found me and chose me to be a part of your wedding day! You’re such an incredible couple and I love your awesome family. I hope you’re having an amazing time in Jamaica! I can’t wait to hear all about it and see you when you return!
xoxo,
Brea

Super gorgeous chica!! I love the getting ready shots. So sweet!
You had me at “grandmother’s fur stole”! :) I love when bride’s incorporate vintage family items. What a lovely wedding! Really enjoyed all of the smiling faces in your reception coverage.
Oh my goodness, Brea! I love everything about this wedding! I had no idea that the Rusty Scupper also served as a wedding venue… It’s one of my favorite places to go downtown! So much fun all on in one post!
I love this wedding! What a great way to start the year!
