I’m so excited to share this low-key Johns Hopkins Club wedding! Julie and Mark have a beautiful life together and it showed on their special day.
The Couple
Julie and Mark met for the first time at a MeetUp event Julie organized through social media. That first MeetUp, they went to see Dracula at the Patapsco Female Institute. A few weeks later, they met for dinner and began keeping in touch regularly. And a month after that was their first date in Hamden, with dinner at 13.5% and a showing of The Tempest. That was all it took! Since then, these two have been inseparable and share such a warm love for one another. Not only for one another, but also for Julie’s near-20-year-old cat, Holly. (Although Julie tells me it’s more “tolerates” than “loves” as far as Mark’s feelings toward their feline friend!) Julie and Mark are so easy and relaxed with each other, and it was reflected perfectly in their wedding day.
The Wedding
Julie and Mark’s John’s Hopkins Club wedding was so chill and laid back, including some of their closest family and friends. Julie picked her dress because it made her feel like Juliet, fitting since she not only looked gorgeous but also since she and Mark share a love of theater. Mark’s sons were his best men and they each had everyone laughing with their fantastic toasts. Their toasts were more like quick roasts, with one-liners delivered from each best man. Holly, Julie’s cat that Mark tolerates, managed to make it into one of the toasts/roasts!
Julie and Mark, I’m so happy for both of you and can’t thank you enough for sharing your beautiful and intimate day with me! Here are a few of my favorites.
