Colleen + Zachary | Harpers Ferry, WV and Silverbrook Farm Wedding Photos

Colleen and Zachary’s wedding on Saturday was filled with so much love and laughter. You don’t find more genuine people than this.

The Couple

From Colleen: “We met on Tinder, neither one of us were looking for a new relationship, just to meet people. But after a few dates we couldn’t stop seeing each other. About one year later, at a weekly family dinner night Zach popped the question. After dinner he pulled out his guitar and sang “Marry Me” by Train (with a few adjustments of the words to match us). After he played he got on one knee and I said yes!”

The Wedding

Colleen and Zach’s wedding was amazing. We were met with a rainy, dreary day, which promised to put a damper on some of our plans, but as I walked into the house at Silverbrook Farm to begin capturing the getting ready process, you would have never guessed. I was greeted with smiles and enthusiasm and a bride and groom with a carefree attitude about the day. And honestly, I couldn’t have pictured a better day. Colleen is literally the happiest bride I’ve ever photographed, and I make it a habit of only photographing happy brides :) They were married in the beautiful St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church on the hill in Harpers Ferry, WV. I had seen the church during a previous visit to Harpers Ferry last year – I had no idea they did weddings there! It was gorgeous with the most amazing view. After the ceremony, we traipsed around in the wet grass and mud at the farm to make some portraits of Colleen and Zach, and then partied the night away inside the barn! Zach even joined the band for a couple of numbers! It was seriously such a dream and I am so excited to share some of my favorites on the blog today.
