Brad and Julia’s session happened on a day in DC where there was a threat of thunderstorms in the area. So last minute, we decided to meet up earlier and shoot at the Natural History Museum, scrapping our original plan of the Smithsonian Zoo. Right away I knew we were in for a good time when the photos started off silly and fun – to which they said “we’ve got the wedding for normal photos, we just want to be ourselves.” And they did just that. We had so much fun exploring and taking goofy pictures with Brad and Julia and can’t wait for kilts and zoo animals at their wedding in September!
Adorable! The good news is, they don’t have to be “normal” at their wedding either, and I know you will capture that perfect weirdness beautifully, Brea!
You always have the most creative compositions Brea! I love this session! I think it paid off to be flexible with the weather ;)
It’s really the best how you get all these photos that don’t look photos… they just look like everyday snippets of real life, but in the coolest way. Super awesome!
WHOA WHOA WHOA! This is unreal Brea! That image shot thru the dino — holy smokes girlfriend!
You have the best couples! How cute are they…I love the “lets just have fun!” attitude for an engagement shoot! These are great!!
So creative! Love the silly weirdness and awesomeness of it all!
Ha! These two are WAY too much fun. Their wedding is no doubt going to be a blast!
Wow! These are all so creative! I love the black and white photo of the in the middle of the staircase. They look like such a fun couple!
[…] may remember Julia and Brad from their equally (wonderfully) weird engagement session at the Natural History Museum. Little did I know then, that there was a theme that carried over from that session to the wedding […]
