Anna and Scott‘s wedding at the Frederick Douglass Maritime Museum this past weekend was one of the highlights of our year!
The Couple
From the couple: “We met for drinks at Rye in Fells Point on a cold evening. Afterwards, Anna suggested to get gelato at Pitango (really more of an excuse to get dessert). And Scott agreed, which should suprise those who know his sleeping habits since he isn’t exactly a night owl (Guess Anna was worth it! Or it was just the ice cream :P). Ever since then, Fells has been one of our favorite places in Baltimore.
“We spent the next 4 years surviving long distance – first between Columbia and Baltimore and now between Columbia and Wilmington – as Anna navigated medical school and is currently finishing up her residency. (Driving has been a HUGE part of our relationship, and we are SO excited to be under the same roof once Anna graduates residency!) Despite the distance, we’ve managed to enjoy every minute together and find time for memorable adventures from Saturday Costco trips to ocean kayaking off the southern coast of Portugal.
“The day Scott proposed, Anna thought it was just a normal weekend meeting up with old friends and shopping for glasses at Warby Parker. After trying on a million different pairs and getting drinks at Wit & Wisdom, we walked up to Fed Hill where Scott proposed to Anna at the top and surprised her with some of her closest friends. Anna surprised everyone with a meme-worthy ugly cry. Flash forward almost 1.5 years later, and here we are ready to get married!”
The Wedding
One thing that will be perfectly clear from these photos is that Anna is pure sunshine. She was the most chill bride we’ve had in a long time. Taking breaks from getting her makeup done to dance any time one of her favorite songs came on. Everything about this day was a dream for us. Two super laid back, awesome people. A gorgeous venue that we LOVE. And a kick ass band (featuring the groom’s brother!) that brought the house down all night. Here are just a few of the highlights!
