Emily and Cory’s wedding this past weekend at the Rod N Reel Resort in Chesapeake Beach, Maryland had all of the good stuff. Lots of love, happy tears, and an abundance of good humans. I’m so excited to recap their day on the blog!

The Couple

From the couple: “We met at my friend Amy’s 30th birthday party at Magerk’s in Bel Air. Ashley has just started dating Jason and Jason brought Cory that night. We were all talking at the table that night, although Cory didn’t talk too much because he’s pretty quiet unless he knows you, and me having several margaritas that night finally broke the silence and asked him for a bite of his chicken salad wrap because I was too lazy to walk up and go get one from the table haha! Cory looked at me funny but gave me a bite of the wrap and then we were friends from that night on. We would see each other when Ashley would invite me over and we’d all hang out at the bar together. Finally in 2016 on August 7th Cory and I had our first date at BJs brew house in Towson.”

The Proposal

“Fast forward 3 years and we were back at BJ’s brew house on April 11 2019 having some much needed time and drinks together and I’m thinking this is just a casual date night, we finish our meal and head home. We get home and Cory parks his truck in the garage and says “I’ll race you upstairs” my response “whatever weirdo”. So he gets out and runs upstairs as i mosey my way out of the truck and into the house and upstairs and I get to the top of the landing and look over and see him and I’m like what are you doing? So completely oblivious to everything he has set up I walk over to the island and put my purse down and he says “come here babe” so when I turn around I then see everything and the balloons that say marry me on the wall with my favorite flowers and a big collage frame of us and out of my mouth comes “what the fuck babe are you serious right now” lol so he starts reading his speech he wrote out and can’t get through because he’s crying and gets down on one knee and says “I’m just going to ask you because I can’t see this to read it, will you marry me?” And I said yes!!!”

The Wedding

Finally, almost three months late (thanks ‘rona, ugh), Emily and Cory got to have their special day at the Rod N Reel Resort in Chesapeake Beach, MD. It was more than worth the wait. All of the sweet moments and the genuine love that was shown towards these two made this a photographer’s dream. I’m so excited to share the highlights on the blog today – I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.
