Kelsey + Jordan | Mt. Washington Mill Dye House Wedding | Baltimore, MD

June 29, 2021 Kelsey + Jordan | Mt. Washington Mill Dye House Wedding | Baltimore, MD

Kelsey and Jordan‘s Mt. Washington Mill Dye House Wedding this past Friday was EVERYTHING. So excited to share highlights on the blog today.

The Couple

From the couple: “Our love story began March 1, 2019. But our love story was no normal love story… while most first dates occur at a romantic restaurant, ours took place somewhere a bit different. Dave and Busters was the suggested place and after some convincing from my closest friends, a “friendly” competition didn’t seem like a bad idea.

“After some small talk, appetizers, and drinks, the games began! The more games we played, the more nervous Jordan got (seriously he took off his coat because I was sinking hoops). After a variety of games, it was time for the biggest game of the night. Skee-Ball. The winner-take-all game. With each toss, the smiles grew, the laughs got louder, and the trash talking became more serious. Do we even have to go into who won? Yes… I’m still salty about it. Jordan took the night with a very lucky toss!

“Before leaving we strolled through the gift shop and jokingly discussed buying a shirt that said, “WINNER.” Unbeknownst to me and before saying goodbye. Jordan unzipped his coat… and you guessed it. He was wearing the winner shirt.”

The Proposal

“We headed to the Eastern Shore (where Jordan is from) to send off his sister to college in Indiana. Jordan told me that one night we would be going out to dinner with his brother and sister in law by Assateague Island. We were running early so we decided to take a walk along the beach. Conveniently Mel had to use the restroom so Jordan and I just kept walking and they were to catch up. As Jordan and I were walking along the beach he stopped me (I felt kind of awkwardly…) and gave me a look. I knew with that look it was the moment ….he got down on one knee and I was absolutely shocked! I dropped my sandals (which I never have seen again… probably somewhere in the Atlantic) and said YES! But that wasn’t the last surprise… he told me to look up the beach and there my whole family was starting to run towards me to celebrate. Both families celebrated the engagement with a cookout on the beach and the rest has been history! <3”

The Wedding

I seriously can’t imagine a nicer family than Kelsey and Jordan’s combined family. Everyone was so warm and welcoming, it felt like we were a part of their chosen family as well. From the show-stealing hilarious flower girl Mattea, to Kelsey’s many (many) expressions, to the love that these two share – there are so many amazing moments, it was hard to narrow down my favorites for the blog. Thank you for trusting us to capture your big day – it was amazing! Here are just a few of my favorites.

Gorgeous!! Beautiful family, inside and out. Every single image is just so special. The tear, father/daughter dance… such a special moment. Love the image of Mom and Kelsey in the mirror. Mattea everywhere… she is so expressive <3 Those night shots are just perfection. So so beautiful!!

These photos make my heart so happy … can’t wait to see the whole gallery! As the MOB I had every confidence with Brea’s experience and creativity that she would capture the emotion, zaniness and love of our family, but these exceed my expectations. Thank you so much, Brea…. I may now have to add an addition to my house for more wall space to display all my favs!
