Not only are we closing in on the end of the 2021 wedding season, but we are closing in on the last of our rescheduled 2020 couples to get married! Amber and Matt have been through quite the planning journey with date changes and even a venue change, but I can say for certain, this day was 100% worth the wait.

The Couple

From the bride: “Matt and I met in College freshman year. His best buds from high school lived on my floor at Towson and Matt would come to visit from Washington College on the weekends. Eventually he transferred mid year to Towson and we started dating towards the end of that year. He asked me out by putting yellow flower petals on my dorm floor that said “Me + you?” so that was the first thing I saw when i woke up (it was pretty adorbs). We have been together ever since (just hit our 11th dating anniversary). We got engaged in Nov 2019 while we were in Irving, Texas for an Incubus concert. They are one of our favorite bands. Matt asked me to marry him while we were on a romantic gondola cruise. I was totally shocked, so it was an amazing surprise and trip!”

The Wedding

It feels like ages ago since I did Matt and Amber‘s engagement session for them in the summer of 2020. They were one of my first engagement sessions once the world changed. Little did we know that was only the beginning of the roller coaster journey to get us to their wedding day. Although the date and even the venue changed (their hashtag #Never2Late2BeAnEarly maybe *a bit* too on the nose), I can’t imagine a more perfect day to celebrate these awesome, awesome people. Amber and Matt, we finally made it, and I’m so glad I got to be a part of this journey with you and get to call you my friends. Here are just some of my favorites.
