January 25, 2022 Sara + Terrance | American Visionary Art Museum Wedding Photos | Baltimore, MD

Sara and Terrance’s wedding at the American Visionary Art Museum this past weekend was so good for the soul. To be surrounded by such wonderful people was just what I needed. I’m very excited to share the highlights from their wedding on the blog today!

The Couple

From the couple: “Once upon a pepper… We met at Chili’s back in 2012 in Morgantown, WV. Our paths continued to cross for years as corporate trainers. We began dating in 2018, made it official in Tulsa, OK. Long distance for the first year (CO -> PA). We moved in together in 2019 (Enola, PA). Shortly after we found out we were relocating to Dallas, TX for Chili’s AND were expecting a baby! Little did I (the bride) know that T had asked my parents blessing to marry me long before I moved in with him. January 2020 we took a trip to one of our favorite places; Colorado. We took a drive up Pike’s Peak and T had a photo album (with handwritten captions) for me to look at/read on the way up. We pulled over to check out the views and I finished the album. At the end of it was the photo of him with my parents the day he asked them and when I turned around T was on one knee.

“Fast forward two years and we are finally going to make it legal haha! Nothing in either of our lives has been linear, he never wanted to get married or have kids. I was a “strong, independent, don’t need no man!” kind of human. And yet, here we are; best friends and soul mates.”

The Engagement Session

I met Sara and Terrance for the first time in person for their engagement session literally two days before their wedding. I already knew I was going to love them but after our time together Jim and I were both very excited for their wedding that Friday. Since I didn’t have a chance to blog them before the wedding – here are a few highlights!

The Wedding

I have so many wonderful things I want to say about Sara and Terrance and the beautiful world they’ve created for themselves. Their families are so warm and wonderful. Their son Bryson is so loved by everyone (one of my favorite photos is from their kiss at the end of the ceremony where Bryson’s uncle is kissing him on the cheek *cue all the ugly crying*) and it’s just so heartwarming to see. It was truly a family affair, with Momma D (Sara’s mom) officiating, and Terrance’s cousin bringing the party and killing it as their DJ. By the end, it felt like we were a part of the family too. And what brought us all together was celebrating their special one of a kind connection and love. I’m so thankful I got to celebrate alongside them and capture it all! Here are just *some* of the many, many photos we took that day.
