I almost don’t believe I’m making this post. Nearly two years late, three years since their engagement session, and on the FOURTH try, Courtney and Jared have finally had their big wedding celebration!

The Couple

From Courtney: “We met on Tinder and had our first date on 4/15/16 at Claddagh’s pub for chicken wings and beer (and continue to frequent regularly). Our relationship was immediate, honest, kind, loving and easy. We happily dated for 2.5 years when Jared took Courtney to Key West to celebrate her graduating with her doctoral degree in nursing. He proposed on the drive down to Key West. A supportive partnership has made the past 18 months of cancelled weddings, working during a pandemic, buying a house and all the craziness just a whole lot easier. To me the best part is there are no best parts, I live the best part every day.”

The Wedding

Man, Courtney and Jared went from being one of my first weddings of 2020 (originally scheduled for the first weekend of April 2020), to literally my first wedding of 2022. And a lot of life has happened in between. Including them getting legally married in September of 2020. Fifteen months later, we all gathered to celebrate, and there was no shortage of emotion even though they were already married. This day was every ounce as special as we had hoped, and man, we FINALLY made it! I can’t say enough good things about how special this day was, from their amazing families, to a badass Maid of Honor rap speech (seriously she killed it), to all the love and all the fun.
