This weekend I got to celebrate with Sara and Abi for two wonderful days, and I’m so excited to share (way too many) photos on the blog today.

The Couple

“We met during our first year of college at Brown University in Providence, RI. We would see each other regularly during meetings for the Model United Nations club. We started to hang out more during our junior year, developed mutual friendships, and finally started dating – our first date was bowling. Following graduation, Sara moved to Washington, DC to work for US Congress, while Abi moved to Oxford, UK to obtain his PhD in Physics. In 2019, Abi moved to Washington, DC for a job in consulting, and our transatlantic long-distance relationship soon morphed into working five feet away from one another during the pandemic.

“Abi co-adopted the Ivy, the cat that Sara rescued previously. We bought a house together on our favorite street next to Eastern Market, DC, where we used to go on walks through the pandemic, and we admired the neighborhood’s cute townhouses and large trees. Abi proposed to Sara in front of their house on this street one year later.”

The Wedding

Friday night we kicked off Sara and Abi’s wedding weekend with their Sangeet at The Renaissance hotel in Baltimore. It was a nice filled with delicious food, a plethora of great speeches and performances, and a totally packed dance floor from the word go! It was so much fun and the perfect way to set the tone for the weekend’s festivities. Saturday had a mix of American and Indian wedding traditions with a baraat, a hybrid wedding ceremony, two stunning outfits for both bride AND groom, and a killer band at the reception. It was the perfect weekend celebrating two of the sweetest people. Here are just some of my favorites.
