Michelle and Benjy, a.k.a. Minjy, were married this past weekend at the American Visionary Art Museum and I’m excited to share the highlights on the blog today.

The Couple

From the bride: “We met on a dating app – Hinge! Benjy went away to Colorado after our first couple of dates and I wasn’t sure if he would be returning since he said he wanted to move there. Thankfully he returned to NYC and our relationship blossomed from there. I was applying for fellowships all across the country and Benjy was ready and excited for an adventure together. We moved to San Diego last summer. We went on a roadtrip along the Pacific Coast Highway and Benjy proposed at sunset on the beach in Carmel. It was perfect!”

The Wedding

This Sunday we had the most joyful day celebrating with Minjy for their wedding! From socks that hold hands, friends doing yoga in a hotel room, singing “happy birthday” at a baby because it’s her favorite song, we had no shortage of awesome fun and weird moments to capture in the beginning part of the day. As the wedding celebrations began, there was so much enthusiasm, emotion, and love. As far as wedding days go, this was everything we could have ever wanted as photographers – a couple, their friends, and family fully engaged with each other, in the moment, having the time of their lives. We were honored to be there to capture it all. Here are just some of the highlights!
