Abbey and Alex were married at the Baltimore Museum of Industry and I’m excited to share the highlights on the blog today!
The Couple
From Abbey and Alex: “We met in 2014 during our sophomore year of college at University of Maryland, connecting during a round of our favorite game, flip cup, and have been together ever since. Shortly after we started dating, we discovered we were actually born just hours apart in the same hospital, so our first meeting was likely years before! Alex is a wildlife biologist, so the past 9 years of our relationship his job has taken him (and Abbey too!) on fun adventures all over the country. We officially settled back in our hometown of Baltimore in 2021.
“Alex proposed to Abbey in April of 2022. He pretended we had a birthday party to attend that afternoon, and said it would be a good idea to tire out our dog Bella on a hike first. We went for a hike at north point state park, and as soon as we got to the sandy beach portion, Bella (but not Abbey!) noticed his sisters hiding to take pictures. Alex quickly proposed before Bella gave it away, and then we celebrated all weekend long with friends and family who surprised us from out of town!”
The Wedding
We had such a wonderful day with Abbey, Alex, and their amazing friends and family at the Baltimore Museum of Industry. Against a backdrop of picturesque waterfront views, Abbey and Alex exchanged heartfelt vows, surrounded by their closest friends and family. It was truly beautiful to watch how engaged, present, and joyous everyone was, and their excitement was contagious. Alex and Abbey put on an awesome party to celebrate with all of their favorite people. One of my favorite little touches, is that with it being a hot summer day, Alex and Abbey were forward thinking enough to even have snowballs available for guests at the reception to cool down! Best wedding ever? Maybe :) Here’s just a small selection of photos from an incredible day.
