Mycal and Avonda‘s wedding day this past Saturday at the Salamander DC was one of the most memorable wedding celebrations I’ve ever been a part of! I’m excited to share the highlights on the blog today.

The Couple

From the couple: “Mycal and Avonda met in 2017 at a US-China bilateral forum in DC. Avonda, being the first-class business executive that she is, prepped Mycal for the event, coaching him on his talking points and orienting him with the details of the event. After meeting Avonda, he was blown away by her beauty, elegance, and sense of humor. When he learned about her passion for Chinese culture, it was a wrap. Periodt! The event went smoothly and Mycal left a lasting impression on the audience. They got coffee after the event, and just like that, they both walked away knowing they could never be apart from each other ever again.”

The Wedding

From my first meeting with Avonda and Mycal I was immediately taken with them. They are kind, warm, intelligent, beautiful people individually, and together they are magical. This entire day was a collection of special moments – from Avonda and Mycal’s emotional first look, to their incredible vows (which they both started *almost* identically), to their amazing First danceS… and much more. It was an absolute honor to be the one chosen to capture so many beautiful moments and we had a blast doing so. Here are the highlights!
