Sam and Amanda were married this past weekend at the American Visionary Art Museum in one of the most beautiful and emotional ceremonies we’ve witnessed!

The Couple

“We met at University of Maryland in undergrad and had several mutual friends, but didn’t become close until graduate school in an intensive opera program. We started as good friends and decided we liked each other :)

“Since we travel so much to and from Philadelphia/Maryland, we cross the Susquehanna bridge on 95 often and have claimed it as our ‘adventure bridge’. We hold hands if we’re in the car together and call each other if we’re not. Day after Christmas last year on the way to my parents house in MD, Sam suggested we pull off to a park along the river where you can see the bridge to take a picture with River. I turned to face the bridge while Sam set up the camera and when I turned around he was on one knee. Amanda said ‘What’s up?'”

The Wedding

Sam and Amanda’s wedding this past Friday was such a beautiful and emotional day. I love how they light up around each other, and it was a joy to capture that brightness all day. They had the whole room crying happy tears along with them for their vows, including us! Amanda and Sam are warm and wonderful people and I am thankful we got to spend such a beautiful day alongside them. Here are a few of my favorites!
