This past weekend Chelsea and Jonar were married at Gramercy Mansion and it was the best day ever.

The Couple

I am obsessed with their meet cute. I feel like this captures their personalities 100% accurately:

From Chelsea’s perspective:

“While sitting at Starbucks, Chelsea had her attention interrupted by a man walking in the door. She knew immediately that there was something special about him. So, like any other woman in this situation, she decided to take a photo of him in public without his consent to see if her friends and family all agreed that this man seemed like something special. As he drank his coffee and devoured his yogurt like an animal without concern for others around him, her fascination continued to grow. Before she left, she realized she must write her number down on a piece of paper and throw it at his table like a wild lion stalking its prey.

From Jonar’s perspective:

“Little did she know, Jonar also immediately noticed Chelsea sitting at her table – She looked incredibly beautiful and there was something about her that he couldn’t put his finger on, but she seemed like someone he needed to know. As he worked on his homework throughout the next hour, he glanced her way entirely too often, partaking in a clandestine operation of his own. Then, while eating his yogurt in a completely reasonable manner, he thought to himself, “Wow, she’s way out of your league and would never be interested in you. No chance pal.” Boy was he wrong. At that very moment this woman was engaging in misdemeanor-level harassment and a handsome side-profile was being sent around to at least 10 strangers he never met. But, he would be meeting them very soon and he didn’t even know it at the time.

“After providing Jonar with her phone number, Chelsea very fittingly tripped on her way out the door. Jonar texted Chelsea within about 15 minutes of her leaving the coffee shop while the people around him helped pick up his jaw from the floor as he still sat there in disbelief that this stunning human seemed interested.

What followed

“What blossomed from this random occurrence was something very unexpected that neither of them could have prepared themselves for – love. Fast forward two years and Jonar proposed to Chelsea in the fall of 2020 at the same dock they went to on their first date, which is somewhere they like to spend time together to this day. Her gut instinct when he popped the question was to jump back ten feet, but as always, she returned to him and ultimately said yes. This made him the happiest and luckiest man in the world.”

The Wedding

Saturday was THE best day and I can say with certainty that this was on par with the most fun I’ve ever had photographing a wedding, if not, setting a record for the most fun. Chelsea is hilarious, stunningly beautiful, weird AF, and I’m pretty sure we’re friend soulmates now so that’s great. Jonar is kind, and calm, and also a goof. They’re SUCH a great fit together, and I just know their marriage will be filled with lots of fun and love, just like their wedding day. There is one thing looking through these photos that there will be no doubt of – this was the best day ever. Here are some of my favorites from our time together.
