Weddings

Pete and Lee were married this past weekend at The National Museum of Women in the Arts, and I couldn’t be happier to share the highlights on the blog today!

The Couple

From the couple: “We met online (“There’s no stigma!” – Ted, How I Met Your Mother). Lee had a prompt on her profile to rank types of fries from best to worst, with the only wrong answer putting wedge fries anywhere but last. Pete ranked wedge fries second but Lee thought he was cute and fun to talk to. They met for their first date at Zaytinya, split a side of french fries, and haven’t split since. We got engaged at Banff National Park.”

The Wedding

I had so much fun with Lee and Pete for their engagement session last winter, that I knew their wedding would be one of my favorites. We did their engagement session at Planet Word, a museum for the language arts, exploring the exhibits and taking photos along the way. Little did I know that their wedding day would be much the same. Getting married in August, Lee said she didn’t even want to think about outdoor photos in the heat, so we took all of their portraits inside at the museum. What was a pleasant surprise to me, was that the National Museum of Women in the Arts has so much fun and funky artwork, making for a very varied and awesome portrait experience.

But that’s enough about the portraits. Pete and Lee’s wedding was a joy to capture because they’re a joy to be around. Their love is beautiful and being able to spend the day in witness and celebration of that was magical. We loved spending the day with Lee, Pete, their wonderful families and friends. Here are just *some* of the highlights of an absolutely perfect day.
