Emily and Dan‘s wedding this past week was such a warm and wonderful celebration of not just their love, but the love for their families. We loved being by their side on such a special day to capture it all!
The Couple
From the bride:
Meeting: Dan and I swiped right the fall before COVID hit, and we are so thankful that we did! Our first date was at Myth & Moonshine, and we had our first kiss around there behind a dumpster which was super romantic. Dan remembers there was a dirty sock on the ground. Little did Emily know that there was actually currently a Ravens game going on, and it was a huge deal that Dan was willing to deviate from his usual game watching habits to meet her! We had a delicious pink, berry-flavored beer there, and we tried to figure out what it was for months after and never could. Myth & Moonshine has since changed hands, and Dan did try to get the little table in the window for Emily before they closed!
Engagement: We got engaged on the scenic Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park right before Christmas. Dan’s mom and stepdad love vacationing there, and we had a cozy, quiet, resting long weekend in an equally cozy cabin! Camden (doggie) was with us! We went out on a little rock ledge with a beautiful view of the mountains. Most of our pictures are selfies, unfortunately, and they don’t do it justice!
The Wedding
Emily and Dan’s wedding day was so much fun and so wonderful. Going through the photos to pull out my favorites for this blog post, I had a smile on my face the whole time. Everyone was so warm and inviting and it felt like we were a part of their inner circle. I love when it feels this way because not only is it very heart warming and fulfilling, but it also usually means the photos are that much more special. I’m so excited to share just a small selection from Emily and Dan’s special day on the blog today!
