I’ve wanted to photograph a wedding or engagement session at Glen Echo Park since I started shooting weddings in 2012. Somehow, it took until NOW for that to finally happen. When Zena and Nima reached out about their wedding this fall, I got so excited that I might finally get my chance to photograph there. The park is fun, quirky, colorful, and completely up my alley. They love it so much that we decided to meet there for their engagement photos too!
Zena and Nima both have personal connections to the park. They grew up going there for camp, possibly even at the same time, though they can’t confirm it. Zena’s dad is also on the board, which gives the park an even stronger family connection. Since it’s such an important part of their story, it felt like the perfect place for both their engagement session and wedding day.
I loved spending my evening hanging out with these two, getting familiar with the park before their wedding, and most of all, I loved capturing their relationship and the joy they have together. I can’t wait to do it all again in September!
