Rose and Arturo’s Annapolis wedding felt less like a wedding and more like spending the day with a family celebrating exactly where they are in life. In the best, best way.

A Family-Focused Annapolis Wedding at the William Paca House

Rose and Arturo were married at St. Mary’s Church before heading over to the William Paca House for a reception that was warm, relaxed, and completely centered around the people they love most. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect—sunny, comfortable, and ideal for wandering through downtown Annapolis and the gardens of the Paca House.

Their son Maui served as Arturo’s best man and gave a speech that had everyone emotional. He spoke about his mom, how much he loves her, and how much Arturo means to both of them. It was one of those speeches that reminds you what weddings are really about.

Their daughter Madeline also stole plenty of hearts throughout the day. At one point Rose joked that Madeline thought it was her wedding. Honestly? I loved that. Our own kids refer to our wedding as “our wedding,” and I have a feeling Madeline will always remember this day that way too.

Ice Cream and Spring Sunshine

After the ceremony, guests spent the evening exploring the grounds, dancing, and eating ice cream from an ice cream truck that quickly became the most popular spot at the reception.

At one point it felt like half the wedding was outside enjoying the beautiful evening together. Kids ran around the gardens, guests lingered over conversations, and nobody seemed to be in any hurry to move on to the next thing.

It was the kind of wedding that felt comfortable in the best possible way.
