Lori + Gary | Las Vegas Elopement Photos!

Lori and Gary had the most epic Vegas elopement last Thursday and it was a blast to be a part of it!

The Couple

From the bride: “We have known each other for years, but reconnected in 2022, bonded over both being single parents raising two year olds and our love for numetal, hair bands, and champagne. Our kids are 3 months apart in age so it’s been amazing watching them grow together. He proposed on Valentine’s Day, he got home from work and gave me a mushy card that got me crying then got on one knee!”

The Wedding

Lori and I have known each other for more than a decade, so being part of this day meant more than I can put into words. We’ve walked through so many parallel chapters of life—divorce, finding love again, and getting remarried—and seeing her find someone as perfectly suited to her as Gary has been incredibly special. The way he loves not only Lori, but also her daughter, Violet, as his own, is everything I could have hoped she would one day find. Lori helped me live out my rainbow unicorn fairy land-mermaid bride dream (She does my color! She’s the best!) and I was so honored and excited to help her get the badass wedding photos she dreamed of.

We started the day at Planet Hollywood, where we were all staying, with getting ready, a first look, and some photos around the casino before heading over to the Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel for the ceremony.

Due to the chapel’s rules and their in-house photographer, I wasn’t allowed to photograph the ceremony other than with my phone, but I loved getting to experience it as a guest instead! Lori and Gary were driven into the chapel together in a pink Cadillac by Elvis, who serenaded them throughout the ceremony. It was absurdly hilarious, kitschy Vegas, but also really endearing and emotional. I don’t think any of us expected to be tearing up during an Elvis ceremony, but most of us did.

Afterwards, we headed to Koolsville Tattoo for Lori and Gary to get their wedding tattoos. While they were getting theirs, a bunch of their friends decided to get $10 tattoos too. After tattoos and cake, we had one last stop: the Neon Museum.

This was a dream location for all of us. Lori had been obsessed with it for years, and it was the main reason she wanted me to fly out from Baltimore to Vegas for the wedding. As a photographer, it had been at the top of my own photography wishlist for years too. Watching Lori take it all in when we walked through the gates made finally getting to photograph there with them even more special. I’m so thrilled with how badass the photos turned out.
