Juliet and Rashid’s wedding celebration was well worth the almost 5 year wait! We had a wonderful day this past Friday and I’m excited to share the highlights on the blog.

The Couple

From the bride: “Enemies to lovers? Juliet actually hated Rashid when they met. He was guilty by association of an acquaintance Juliet did not get along with. The interaction was brief, but a year later they became high-school sweethearts. The two split ways when time came for college. They stayed in touch but didn’t really re-ignite the relationship again until almost 9 years later. They were engaged within a year, married a few months after. The rest is history!”

The Wedding

Juliet and Rashid were legally married back in September of 2021, but this past weekend they finally got to celebrate with the wedding they had always envisioned—and it was absolutely worth the wait.

Not that I expected anything less. Their “engagement session” last year consisted of a literal hour of nonstop laughing, and their wedding day was exactly the same. These two have such an easy, joyful relationship. They genuinely have fun together, and it shows in every interaction, from the quiet moments to the completely unfiltered laughter.

Rashid is also very clearly, unapologetically obsessed with his wife (AS HE SHOULD BE), and I love so much that he KNOWS he hit the jackpot with her. His reaction during the first look was epic and will be one of my favorites forever.

The day wasn’t just full of laughter, though. There were plenty of emotional moments woven throughout the celebration, too. The kind that remind you how much love, history, and meaning can be wrapped up in a single day. It was a beautiful balance of joy, gratitude, reflection, and celebration.

After waiting years to finally have the wedding they wanted, it felt like the perfect celebration for them. I’m so grateful I got to be there to document it all.
