Taylor + CJ | Federal Hill and Clipper Mill Engagement Session

I love Taylor. She’s my kind of girl. She doesn’t even own black mascara, only blue. BLUE. What is cooler than blue mascara? Nothing. When we first met to talk about her wedding she told me all about their amazing wedding plans, the love of her life CJ, how they met, and that he’s quiet– but amazing. Well he lived up to her description. He said maybe 5 words to me during our session, and what he did say I could hardly hear. LOL. Kidding. Partially. CJ was really sweet and I hope that by the wedding rolls around we’ll be BFFS. CJ and Taylor met at Marshall University where CJ was one of the star football players on the offensive line. I love that they incorporated their school pride into their session. These two are so perfect for each other and were such naturals in front of my camera. We had a blast and the two hours we spent together flew by! I can’t wait for their wedding!

So beware, this post is very photo heavy. I shot way more than normal– you’ll see why. These two are amazing.

I love their outfits. Delightfully preppy and bright! As Taylor said “we look like preppy threw up all over us.” I love this girl. We started off the morning on federal hill, where it was amazingly cloudy. I love how dramatic the grey clouds are in the background.

Here you can really see her blue mascara, I love it! Taylor is downright gorgeous. CJ has an incredible smile and I love his bowtie!

After a little while atop Federal Hill we headed to Clipper Mill for the rest of the morning. I had never shot there before and was really excited that Taylor was up for it! This is easily my new favorite Baltimore location. I especially love how the grungy industrial location contrasted with their polished preppy attire.

This is one of many favorites of mine from their session. This will definitely need to go on my canvas wall when I swap stuff out later this year.

To end the morning, CJ changed into his Marshall jersey and Taylor into a Marshall tee for a few.

His bowl ring is HUGE.

Taylor + CJ, I am SO happy that you guys chose me to be your wedding photographer. We’re going to have an amazing time in May and I can’t wait! I can only imagine how amazing the wedding is going to be.
