This week has been a marathon of engagement sessions on the blog with one each day all week. If you’ve missed them you should definitely take a minute and go back and check out all of the posts!
Monday – Lisa and Mike’s foggy morning at Piney Run Park
Tuesday – Steph and Tony, high school sweethearts at John Carroll School
Wednesday – Amy and Rafi at Seneca Creek State Park
Thursday – Jessie and Jimi in downtown Annapolis
and today… Jess and Justin at Jerusalem Mill! I love that today I am posting their sneak peeks (from across the country no less, I’m in North Dakota for a wedding!) and it’s the -1 anniversary of their wedding! A.k.a. they get married one year from today. What a fun way to celebrate!
Jess and Justin are so fun and SO my kind of people. Justin is a major jokester and Jess is as sweet as can be. They balance each other out perfectly and are quite the perfect pair. We bonded when we first met over Justin’s love of his Jeep, modifying it and taking it off-roading (my husband has a similar love/hobby), while Jess and I commiserated over being forced to ride in the jeep with no doors or top during the summer and the tragedy that is our hair when we get to our destination. We clicked right away and I am so glad that Jamie and Tommy sent them my way, love these two!
It was a gorgeous morning in Kingsville with some seriously amazing morning light! It’s crazy that this week I’ve posted three morning sessions, and they all look SO different. One was completely foggy, one was just overcast, and this was glowy and golden. You never know what you’re going to get but they’re all beautiful in their own ways!
How ridiculously amazing is this light?
I was listing off all of the great places for photos at the park and Justin asked about the covered bridge. I had NEVER shot here before, which is crazy considering I’ve done dozens of sessions at Jerusalem Mill. It was just a short walk and totally worth it.
Jess’ eyes are SO BLUE. So pretty!
I love their save the date pumpkin. When Justin proposed, he proposed by carving his proposal into a pumpkin!
I’m obsessing over these images. They’re too cute, the light is amazing… too much awesome!
Not sure what we were laughing about here, but I love it!
I also had a little bit too much fun with Jess’ ring and Justin’s fire helmet.
I used to have these signs up on our wall in the kitchen of our house along with one of our engagement photos. Now that we’ve been married for two years I decided it was time to change the wall up a bit. So now these signs live in my car and will be used in my sessions! I love them.
More laughter. Not sure what this was about either.
Jess + Justin, you guys absolutely rock! I had a blast and I can’t wait for your wedding. I’m just sad that there’s a whole YEAR until then! Happy -1st anniversary!
SO adorable. I love fireman helmets! I also adore that silhouette shot under the bridge! :D

I’m loving that shot of them laying down on the grass kissing. I mean, most of these are absolutely perfect, but that one is my favorite, hands down.
