Rumi + Jen | Rustic Farm Wedding

Earlier this month I had my last second shooting opportunity for a while, given the busy-ness of my own weddings this year, and this wedding did NOT disappoint! I worked with Rachel Smith Photography for Rumi and Jen’s wedding. They have the storybook romance – American girl studies abroad, falls in love with Mr. Tall Dark and Handsome – and their wedding day was the perfect reflection of that fairytale love story. Now of course a beautiful story of international love isn’t without its difficulties. There was a time that they weren’t even sure that Rumi could be in the country for his own wedding. But thankfully everything worked out (including having Rumi’s mom come from Peru!) and they ended up with the most beautiful wedding day.

I started my day off by meeting Rumi and his groomsmen at their house for some getting ready shots.Gotta love fun socks……and representing Peru!Then it was off to the church for some more portraits and the ceremony. Their ceremony was truly beautiful, part in English, part in Spanish. I love the way he looks at her.How amazing are these flowers? They smelled just as good as they looked!The bridal party was so much fun! Such a great day :)Have you ever seen a more good looking couple?The barn was decorated in a gorgeous rustic chic style. Everything was perfectly executed.The bride and groom entered the reception and went right into their first dance, an incredibly sultry salsa dance! Their reception was a blast with no shortage of dancing! And the sun set on a perfect day in a beautiful way.
