This Antrim 1844 wedding brought a sense of rusticness to an timeless, elegant setting. It was a gorgeous June day for Nicole and Tucker to get married!
The Couple
Nicole and Tucker met each other when Nicole went to interview Tucker for a paper she was doing for one of her classes at Johns Hopkins. It quickly became clear that they had more than the obvious Baltimore connections in common. After their first date at The Music Cafe, they and their families quickly became close.
When Tucker decided to ask Nicole to marry him, he had the perfect backdrop of Puerto Morelos behind him. Years earlier, Tucker had asked Nicole to be his girlfriend with a simple note–“Will you be my girlfriend?”–that she kept on her dresser. With the sun coming up in Puerto Morelos, Tucker presented Nicole with that same note, only “girlfriend” had been scratched out and replaced with “wife.” As Nicole tells it, she then proceeded to accidentally leave said note in Puerto Morelos, but at least it wasn’t the ring!
The Wedding
At this Antrim 1844 wedding, there was so much sunshine and smiling. Nicole and Tucker were full of so much joy, as were all of their friends and family. I especially loved watching the kids coloring, hanging out by the pond, and otherwise adding to the fun elements of the day. The party really turned up as it got dark and the dancing broke out. I think you’ll enjoy these photos, which really capture the spirit of the day.
