August 25, 2020 Liz + Chris | Patterson Park Picnic Wedding Photos | Baltimore, MD

Liz and Chris‘ Patterson Park Picnic Wedding was the perfect covid-friendly celebration and I’m so excited to share my favorites on the blog today!

The Couple

From the couple: “In April 2018, Chris had just recovered from a badly broken leg. He had spent all day at the lab trying to catch up on all the work he missed while recovering from his injury. It was his first night walking without crutches and he was feeling frisky. He made plans to go out to see a rock band play at the Ottobar here in Baltimore.

“Across town, Liz was also feeling frisky. She had spent all day in her office looking at bloody photos for her first attempted murder case. After a difficult conversation with her client at the jail, she realized she needed to drink a beer and hear the sound of an electric guitar. When Liz got to the Ottobar Chris was talking to another girl, but it wasn’t long before they were sitting next to each other and chatting about Washington football and Chris’s upcoming trip to Istanbul and Bulgaria. Liz called her friend Caroline from the bathroom to tell her she had met a guy.

Thanks for nothing eHarmony!

“Can you believe Chris and Liz were both signed up for eHarmony but they ended up meeting at a bar? It turns out that eHarmony is worthless and all you need is one enchanted outing to Baltimore’s favorite heavy metal night club. Instead of spending money on a subscription to an online dating service, spend it on local music. We love rock and roll and we love each other.”

The Wedding

Liz and Chris are another of many couples getting married in 2020 that have needed to reimagine and reschedule their wedding. The most recent change was after Liz had her precautionary covid test prior to their original date at the end of July come back positive! A few weeks later, and a handful of negative covid tests for both her and Chris, and they were good to go. This day was so sweet and was the perfect little celebration in the midst of all of the crazy of this year. Celebrating two people so perfectly suited for each other, in a sweet picnic park wedding was exactly what we needed. And we capped it off with ice cream at Bmore Licks and the most amazing sunset of the year in Fells Point. This day was perfect. Here are some of our favorites.
