Rachele and Chris’ Chesapeake Bay Beach Club wedding this past weekend was A DREAM. Our favorites are on the blog today!

The Couple

From the couple: “We met in 2011 at Stevenson University (Rachele was a freshman and Chris was a junior). We made it through college and then Chris supported Rachele on her journey to becoming an attorney (emotionally, cooking so Rachele would survive, etc.). In 2019, Chris proposed to Rachele in the only way he knew he could surprise her after eight years together … in our home. Rachele got home from a Sunday brunch with friends, walked in the door, and memories from each year together were leading up the indoor steps (pictures, playbills, ticket stubs, etc.). Chris had a Dave Matthews song playing (That Girl is You) because Rachele is a HUGE DMB fan. Chris had our miniature dachshunds dressed with a bow tie (Charlee) and with a wedding dress on (Stevie). What Rachele thought was a 60th wedding anniversary for Chris’s grandparents that day turned out to actually be a surprise engagement party with all of our friends and family there.”

The Wedding

I loved absolutely everything about Chris and Rachele’s wedding. Finally after nearly ten years, they made it to their wedding day. And there was no shortage of love and emotion. There were many times throughout the day that I got a little teary, myself. Their first look, their vows, the beautiful toasts. It was a really special day for two very special people. AND bonus, I got to see two of my favorite humans – Hannah and Meredith – who are close friends with the couple. Hannah did makeup for the girls, and Meredith officiated the ceremony (and did a bang up job!!)
