Bre and Ryan were finally married this past weekend at the Sun Room in DC and it was absolutely perfect! Excited to share the highlights on the blog today.

The Couple

From the couple: “Our story started at a not so small coffee shop in Dupont Circle in 2013. After a few tough questions, some misunderstandings around retirement planning, and a couple of dates that Bre definitely didn’t think were dates, we decided in 2015 that life would be more fun if we did it together.

“We’ve spent the last few years diving into our careers, chasing Michelin Stars, and traveling the world. We’ve started traditions to include the occasional half-marathon, picking out the perfect Christmas tree at Eastern Market, and spending our New Year’s Eves off the record. We ran into a woman walking two senior dachshunds on the Metropolitan Branch Trail, and a few clicks and a challenge to Bre later, we welcomed the best free Ham we’ve ever received into our home. He has since passed, but his little sister Millie joined our family in 2021 with all kinds of spunk.

“Our last big adventure took us to beautiful Thailand. The trip landed us in Koh Samui, a small coastal island with incredible people and beautiful views. We spent the day relaxing on the water and ordering too much food from the poolside menu. Ryan had plans to propose the following night, but Bre spent the afternoon daydreaming (out loud) about our future together. He knew he couldn’t wait one more day to ask the easiest question he could think of. As the sun set over the Gulf of Thailand, Ryan asked Bre if she would be his forever adventure buddy and she–of course–said yes! We spent the evening walking through a night market, grabbing a $2 plate of pad thai, a couple beers, and celebrated on the back porch of a random local’s condo as the sun set over the water.”

The Wedding

I’ve been looking forward to Bre and Ryan’s wedding now for almost 2 years. Thanks, Covid. Well, I can say this day was absolutely well worth the wait. Ryan and Breanna are so loved by everyone in their lives – and this celebration was filled with so many hugs, laughs, and happy tears. It was an honor to capture it all. Here are just a few of my favorites!
