I am so excited to share our final wedding of the year on the blog today – and it was our second time celebrating with Shannon and Zach!

From the couple:

“Zach and I met our first week of undergrad in College Park – we were living on the same floor of the LaPlata dorm, and as people like to tease in wedding toasts, we started dating a month into college. Ever since we’ve been best friends and had each other’s backs – through adventures during college, applying to medical school, figuring out our paths here in Baltimore, and everything in between. Zach proposed in August 2019 on a beautiful day while we were hiking around Loch Raven. It was an amazing time we got to share together, and amidst a pandemic with the help of a lot of amazing people (including you!) we got married in April 2021. Vaccines had just started rolling out to our family members at that time, and we all worked out that we wanted to bring together our extended family and friends to celebrate in a way we hadn’t been able to in a long time, which brings us to this December.”

The Party

As mentioned above, last year, Shannon and Zach were married at the Basilica in Baltimore, with a reception at the Winslow. It was a beautiful day, our first wedding fully vaccinated – with an entire guest list that was vaccinated as well. Although they weren’t able to have everyone there, it was the first glimpse of normalcy after a long time apart. This past weekend, we finally had the reception they had always wanted with all of the people they love. It was an amazing night and I’m so excited that we got to share it with Shannon and Zach.
