January 17, 2023 2022 in Review | Best of Baltimore Wedding Photography
Man, time flies when you’re having fun. 2022 was my tenth year of photographing weddings, and twelfth year in business. When I was going through photos from the year to make this post, I got so many warm fuzzies (and a little teary) remembering all of the beautiful moments shared with so many wonderful people. In 2022 we photographed 34 weddings, a handful of elopements, more engagement sessions than I can count, some beautiful and empowering boudoir shoots (sorry friends, those are private ;)), and documentary family sessions.
Hooray for normalcy.
It’s also worth mentioning that this was the most normal things have been in THREE YEARS, thanks ‘rona. In 2020, as everyone knows, the events industry got rocked. Every single wedding we had scheduled for the year was impacted in some way. Whether that was rescheduling (one, two, three or FOUR times), reimagining or scaling back their plans. In 2021, things were more normal thanks to the roll out of vaccines, but most people had rescheduled their weddings for the back half of the year – so we had our typical amount of weddings for the year, but in a 6 month span. This year, we were able to shed the masks, sing and dance our way through the dance floor, camera in hand, and photograph 34 weddings across 12 months instead of 6. And it was GLORIOUS.
Love is the greatest gift
Reliving this year through this post reminds me how lucky I am. I get to do something that matters. In this life, the most important thing we have is each other. What a gift to be able to be a part of such intimate moments in peoples’ lives and show them through my lens how truly loved they are. I also get to work with the best team – Jim, Jonathan, Tommy, Courtney, Brooke, Joanne (my mom!) and to my many clients who become lifelong clients (shout out LifeByBrea!) and lifelong friends – I love you all so much.
Now I’m just rambling so let’s get on to the photos. Cheers to a New Year and another year of the best job on the planet!
