I love this venue. I think it’s so fun that I had my first opportunity to photograph there at the end of 2013 and was back just two weeks later for my first wedding of 2014! Laura and Danny are such a sweet, laid back couple, and they had the best attitude about their wedding day. We had downpours all day long (except of course, when I wanted rain- after sunset for some epic night shots) and they didn’t once complain about it or let it dampen their spirits. We had to stay inside for all of our portraits (except the night shots) and I’m so happy with how they turned out!
Laura and Danny – I hope you guys are having an amazing time in Riviera Maya!
Without further ado, the photos!
I absolutely love the bright red bouquet courtesy of Flowers by Bauers. Love this! Laura’s relationship with her sister is so sweet! Laura made such a beautiful bride! She’s so gorgeous. After getting dressed, we headed downstairs for their first look. I’m so glad they chose to do this! It made all of the difference. The rooms that we did their portraits in are the very same rooms that are used for the cocktail hour – and it was JAM PACKED during cocktail hour. With the rain, this was our best option for photos and it wouldn’t have happened without the first look!He liked what he saw ;) Can you blame him? Not only are Laura and Danny super sweet, but they also had a very fun and energetic (you’ll see in the reception photos!) bridal party. Quite the photogenic group too! I love this sweet photo with Laura and her nephew and ring bearer, Owen!I love all of these bridal portraits with Laura! Such a classic beauty. Look who made another appearance!Danny was looking quite dapper, and I love the attitude in the second shot. Laura and Danny wanted a unique ceremony during their wedding where they created something that was truly unique for them. Rev. Laura Cannon helped them come up with a paint ceremony. Don’t know what that is? You’ll see soon. I love the way he looks at her. Cool right? I love this paint ceremony idea! The reception setup was so simple and beautiful. The red and mint palette was absolutely beautiful! Ombre cake?! Yes please! I love that Laura and Danny chose to give seedlings as their wedding favors! The Newlyweds entered the reception to a very enthusiastic standing ovation! Laura and Danny chose to wait until after dinner for the dances, starting off with a very sweet first dance, and then equally sweet parent dances. Their DJ Gil, a family friend, knew his audience well and kept the dance floor going all night long! This is my favorite wedding moment EVER. Meatloaf’s Paradise by the Dashboard Light came on (if you don’t know the song, we can’t be friends) and the room split in half, men on one side, women on the other, singing and acting out the song. AMAZING!This is towards the end of the song. lol. They’re a couple. Hands… touching hands… reaching out…
It was a REALLY fun group.Photo bomb win.We didn’t get the rainy night shots I had hoped for, but they turned out amazing anyway! I love these all! Congratulations Laura and Danny! I’m so happy I’ve gotten to know you two and wish you nothing but the best!

I am dying over the color palette for this wedding. I also really love her bouquet – a neat take on an all red bouquet! :) Beautiful coverage of what appears to be SUCH a fun day!
This is absolutely beautiful! Your night portraits are truly spectacular! Gorgeous work!
The last of their portraits … oh my gosh, I can’t even begin to explain how much I love them! Magical. <3
Such gorgeous and unique colors! Those night shots are just stunning!!!
Looks like an awesome party! I’m living the painting ceremony through them, the art gallery I got married at wouldn’t allow it next to/any where near any works of art! Ahhh. that cake looks gorgeous and delicious, too.
Dude. These are my new favorite photos of yours. Great job rocking the lighting – indoors, night shots, posed groups… they are all stellar and amazingly consistent! Really nice work.
These are amazing. Such excellent use of off-camera-lighting. Brilliant, just brilliant.
Awesome post- those couple shots are incredible and so magical!!!!!!
