Today’s blog post features some familiar faces! Back in April I did a ‘couples session’ for these two that turned into a proposal and engagement session! Not long after that they were in my office officially booking for their wedding, and planning their real engagement session – you know, the one that Heather was actually prepared for. We ended up with a beautiful fall day and got some of my new favorite images ever!
The first time I had these two in front of my camera, it was a little awkward at first… as it always is for literally everyone. Which is the main reason I always do an engagement session with my wedding couples, so we can get all of the awkward out before the wedding. Their real engagement session totally confirmed the value of that for me. There was no awkwardness. None. Because we’ve done this before. Their comfort in front of the camera and with me in general made this one of the easiest sessions I’ve ever done and one of my favorites of all time! I feel so lucky that I’ve been able to work with them already twice now, and I’m sad that the next time is almost a full year away!
Sandy and Heather, I had an absolute blast hanging out with you guys! And thanks for letting me crash your dinner plans afterwards! I can’t wait to hang out again, and hit the slopes with you this winter!
How beautiful are these two?
This was literally the 3rd photo I took. It was a good night.
Love them!
Definitely a favorite!
I just love Heather’s ring! Sandy did so good.
Love is love <3
LOVE.
Yep, too many favorites. It’s basically all of them.
I love golden light during fall. Couldn’t be more beautiful.
We were hoping for a good sunset and of course it was too cloudy to get the colors we’d hoped for. But that also meant it got dark fast, so we got some cool night shots anyway!
Heather and Sandy,
I had so much fun hanging out with you again and I can’t wait for your wedding next year and the many times I’ll hopefully see you before then :)
xoxo,
Brea
Love these!! That golden light is so pretty! And I love the little signs they brought!
You’re right! They are totally natural and comfortable with each other. A little practice always helps! :) Love that last one especially!

I am Heather’s Mom and I wanted to tell you what a beautiful way you have captured the love that Sandy and Heather have for each other! And I thank you for that! Heather is the daughter we are lucky to have and look forward to having Sandy as part of our family! But I always seem to need a tissue when I view your beautiful work. Thank you, Beverly
