Olivia and Bryon were married this past Saturday at the beautiful Vandiver Inn in Havre de Grace, Maryland. Ever since we first met and they told me about their love for Disney and their plans for an Up! themed wedding, I have been anxiously awaiting this day to come! Olivia and Bryon are perfect for each other and their love was evident through every moment of the day. From Olivia: “We have so much fun exploring our hobbies together – such as hiking, exercising, cooking, and reading. We will usually read the same book at the same time to see who finishes first and then to discuss afterwards. We spend a lot of our time hanging out with our pets (because, lets be honest, they are cooler than most people). We enjoy battling hard (maybe a bit too hard) in Mario Kart and Smash Bros. And though Bryon usually wins almost any game, Olivia is totally the better mini-golfer. We are pretty nerdy and LOVE to marathon – in one day – all three extended versions of the Lord of the Rings every year around Christmas time.” How lucky to have found such a wonderful love and someone to truly share in life’s journey with. It was such an honor to be by their side to capture the beginning of their adventure!
Being a huge Disney/Pixar nerd myself, I loved every little touch throughout their wedding! Their invitations were designed by my dear friend Sameeha with The Inked Leaf and I love how she tied in the Adventure theme (based off the phrase “Adventure is out there” from the movie Up!), the Up house, but in the colors of the Vandiver Inn, and the fall leaves and color scheme for their November wedding. The stationery really set the tone for everything and it all came together so perfectly! The bouquets and boutonnières from Local Color Flowers matched the color scheme perfectly and the vibrant fall colors were just stunning. I especially love Olivia’s gorgeous flower crown! Olivia also had beautiful custom painted TOMS that she wore as her bridal shoes from The Enchanted Brush, the detail on them is impressive! Their guestbook was made to look like Ellie and Carl’s Adventure Book from the movie, complete with a list of the places they want to visit together and empty pages left for them to be able to scrapbook their future adventures. Everything came together so beautifully, and although it was strongly tied to the movie, it also embodied the love and adventure in Olivia and Bryon’s life together and their future.

Oh my goodness!!! What a beautiful and unique wedding!! I’m obsessed with her toms!! You captured this day beautifully, Brea!!
AHHH!! I love the UP theme!! And I love Olivia’s flower crown!! This wedding is so gorgeous!
I love these silhouette shots you’ve started and finished the post with. I feel like it’s an under-used technique (light the background and silhouette them.) Definitely something cool and different – great job!
Wow, Brea. I am always in awe of your ability to capture these amazing memories. The back-lit silhouette picture actually took my breath away. Amazing!
This is beyond adorable. I love that they didn’t shy away from their nerdy nature but embraced it and really brought it to life in a tasteful way. Those TOMS are crazy cool. They chose the perfect photographer to appreciate the quirkiness of their wedding. Great job Brea!
You captured their day perfectly! Everything was so tasteful and elegantly put together. One of my favorite weddings this year!
I have a couple getting married in September with this theme! These are so great and now I am so excited for their big day, too. Sent this along as more inspiration. :)
Cutest invitations! I love those shoes and all of the colorful elements they incorporated! And that cake is insanely gorgeous!
Coolest wedding shoes EVER…and just thinking of “up” makes me tear up and then smile : ) Love how you captured the vibrant colors of the bouquet.
