Dani and Stephen were married this past weekend and I’m so excited to share their Deep Creek Wedding photos on the blog today!
The Couple
Dani and Stephen met at a fraternity party in college! They shared a love for traveling and being adventurous – going on hikes, camping, and just being in the wilderness. Throughout their relationship they were in the same city, and then long distance (which they thought wouldn’t realistically work out, but they couldn’t stay away from each other), and then back in the same city again. Stephen proposed to Dani on her birthday weekend in Jasper National Park in Canada after a private helicopter tour by a waterfall! Quite the appropriate proposal for an adventurous couple. You’ll notice the adventure theme all throughout not only their wedding but their lives. They’ve got quite the “brand” :)
The Wedding
Dani and Stephen are one of our 2-parter couples! And I seriously could not have asked for more for their part one. As is with literally everyone getting married in 2020, Dani and Stephen had some choices to make. They chose to do a small, intimate wedding in Deep Creek, Maryland, as planned on their original date – and will do a part two with vow renewal and larger reception back in Deep Creek next year!
We lucked out with incredibly beautiful weather, peak fall foliage, and some of the most stunning portrait locations ever. And because it was a smaller wedding, we had nothing but time to take advantage of the beautiful picture spots. I also love that with the smaller guest count, Stephen and Dani chose to make dinner for all of us AND serve it to us themselves! And let me tell you, these tacos were incredible. There was absolutely no shortage of love and I can’t wait to see all of these wonderful people (and then some!) next November. Here are some of my favorites.
Deep Creek Wedding Photos
Dani and Stephen‘s Deep Creek wedding was shot by Breanna Shaw for Photography by Brea with an assist by Brooke Boyd! Shawn and Kacie Wehland with Swehland Productions provided video services, and all portraits were taken at Chanteclaire Farm or on private property.
Absolutely stunning… The bride and groom, the location, Mother Nature’s beautiful display of fall colors, and how you captured it all!! Can’t wait to see what round 2 has in store for them, you… and all of us who get to share in their love and joy through your images <3
