Betsy and Brian were married this past weekend at Antrim 1844 in the most beautiful winter wonderland wedding.

The Couple

Like many modern couples, Betsy and Brian met on Tinder. Unlike many couples, they had actually gone to the same elementary, middle and high schools but had never met. Shortly after meeting, Betsy moved for PA school, and they decided to give long distance a go. After Betsy’s graduation, covid hit, and they decided to move in together. Nothing like a pandemic to accelerate a relationship ;)

Brian proposed on a trip to the Pacific Northwest, and I love the story as told from Betsy:

“I throw my bag on my shoulder intending to head out to the car when Brian comes and gives me a hug. We pull back from each other and Brian says, “Do you love me?”

“Yes,” 

“You really love me?”

“Yes,” Now I am smiling.

He lets go of me and starts kneeling down. It hits me. 

I have no recollection of saying this, but the words, “Are you really doing this right now?” just *happen* to slip out. 

“Will you marry me?”

And for the third time in this exchange, I say “Yes”.”

The Wedding

Betsy and Brian’s wedding this past weekend was one of the most gorgeous weddings I’ve ever had the opportunity to photograph. From Betsy’s custom green wedding gown (!!!!) to the cozy, warm, winter wonderland vibe in the reception space, everything was perfect. But this day was more than just a pretty wedding. Betsy and Brian had the sweetest emotional first look, a lovely ceremony, and an EPIC party with a packed dance floor from the first song to the last. It was the best way to close out a busy year.
