Rachel and Carl were married this weekend at Beth Tfiloh Congregation. It was such a beautiful day filled with so much love. I’m excited to share the highlights on the blog!
The Couple
Rachel and Carl Met on Hinge during covid, hit it off immediately with a shared love of nerdy shows like Futurama and Disenchantment. They had their first date over skype where they watched together and Carl serenaded Rachel with impeccable renditions of her favorite 2000’s emo songs late into the night. They quickly knew they wanted to see more of each other and started spending more and more time together in person. At first Rachel made the food and had the sole love of her cats Remus and Sirius – but that was not to last as Carl quickly started finding the ways to all of their hearts… stealing the cats love and in the process.
The first few months of staying over every weekend turned into staying over every night. With many nights of sitting on the couch enjoying each others company, sharing each other’s passions: Carl’s love of reading stories, learning science and playing the games, and Rachel’s love of history, music and crocheting (and CATS!). 🐱. Carl and Rachel spent many days supporting each other when life got tough, and when the weather was good going to the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore, and Botanical Gardens.
Then when he knew that there was no future without Rachel in it Carl planned a trip to Boston, staying at the Langham. He knew that she would love to be surrounded by history and Boston is the most walkable city in America and is filled to the brim with historic areas, museums and fantastic sites. After a few false starts, they went back to the hotel – Originally the Federal reserve bank of Boston, Snuck into the Grana after hours and proposed on the original Historic Seal. She said “YES!” and the rest is history. Our history, which we write together one day at a time being exactly the supporting partner each other needs.
The Wedding
Rachel and Carl’s wedding day was a perfect expression of the love, mutual admiration, and respect that they have for each other. It was truly an honor to witness and capture their connection and be a part of such a wonderful day. I’m a much better photographer than writer, so I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. I am looking at these pictures again and thinking what a fantastic wedding this was. So many loved ones sharing their love with Rachel and Carl. We enjoyed seeing all the family and will remember this wedding as one of the great ones.
