I am so excited to share Anna and Sam’s wedding on the blog today – they were married at the American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore, and it could not have been more perfect, or more uniquely “them”.

The (Double) Proposal!

When we decided we were ready to get engaged we designed rings sort of together/sort of not, for the other. We picked a weekend and went to NYC (the city where we met) and said by the end of the weekend we’ed be engaged! Anna proposed first by taking Sam past some of their first date sites and ultimately stopping Sam on the street corner where they missed their first kiss (it was going to happen but then someone was yelling on the street, so they just got on the subway home instead, but it clearly worked out anyway!). She was so excited when he said yes that she knocked the ring out of his hand and had to chase it down the sidewalk. Sam proposed the next day by taking Anna on the East River Ferry (her favorite ferry line) to Brooklyn Bridge Park (her favorite NYC park) and asked her in front of Jane’s Carousel (her favorite carousel). Obviously, they then rode the carousel!

The Wedding

Anna and Sam were married this past weekend at the American Visionary Art Museum and this day was peak Anna and Sam. From animal onesies, to random dance breaks, heartfelt affirmations from friends and family before the ceremony, to a killer dance party – every choice was intentional, and it was a joy to witness and capture such a special day. I’m a much better photographer than writer so I’ll let the photos speak for themselves. Sam and Anna, I am so thankful that our paths converged and we got to be a part of your story. Give Poppy kisses and scritches for me <3
